We at the Regional Centre for Biotechnology constantly strive to reduce the ecological footprint through the work we do. The key areas of particular attention to us include energy efficiency, conservation, recycling and waste reduction.

Zero Waste Campaign: Operationalizing Electric Cars in NCR Biotech Cluster

We take great care to ensure that we use the most advanced energy efficient products available and conserve electrical energy with power saving utilities including that of solar powered lighting systems.

We have a holistic approach towards recycling. Efforts are directed towards recycling all types of resources - water, paper, power and such other utilities. As part of this endeavour, we have initiated 'RCB Green Initiative Scheme'. Under this Initiative saplings are being planted in the name of eminent personalities so that the trees will be remembered forever.

RCB along with THSTI has initiated a tree plantation drive to make our Biotech cluster a carbon-neutral campus and support GoI's fight against global warming. We are planting 1,000 trees in the first phase. Here are some glimpses from the first day where RCB students and staff planted 500 plants sponsored by M/S Satya Sai.
