Junior Research Fellow-Project
Investigating Signaling Pathways of Thrombosis, Inflammation and Cytokine/Antibody Responses in Viral Infections and Polymorphism Associated Pathogenesis.
Viral Infections: Dengue virus (DENV), Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), Chikungunya virus (CHIKV), SARS-CoV-2, Human papillomavirus (HPV), Monkey pox virus (MPOXV).
Investigating viral pathogenesis using in-vitro experiment, mice models and patients’ samples. Severity of Viral infections in Diabetes. Identifying biomarkers and molecular targets. Designing small molecule therapeutics and vaccines.

Genetic polymorphism: Tibetan mutation (PHD2D4E;C127S); Mappila mutation (FBLN4D203A); Kashmiri polymorphism.
Investigating the high-altitude adaptation associated PHD2D4E;C127S mutation in Tibetans.
Investigating role of Lethal Aortopathy syndrome associated with FBLN4D203A mutation among Mappila children of Malabar, Kerala, India.
Kashmiri Thrombocytopenia; about 20% of Healthy Individuals from Kashmir Valley have lower platelet counts (<90). We are investigating if any genetic polymorphisms are associated with it.
