A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to further strengthen the cooperation and collaboration between the UNESCO and the Govt. of India, and for continuing the recognition of the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) by UNESCO as a category-II centre, was signed between the UNESCO and the Govt. of India on 11th April, 2018 in the Department of Biotechnology (DBT). Mr. Shigeru Aoyagi (Director, UNESCO, New Delhi) and Dr. Renu Swarup (Secretary, DBT, Govt. of India) signed the agreement.
